From the soil of Tamboril to the box: this is how every Carlos Brugal cigar is made, in Tamboril, the cradle of Dominican tobacco, following the house's artisanal method.
The harvest
It all starts in the field, in Tamboril, the historic heart of premium Dominican tobacco. The leaf is cut by hand, one at a time, when the plant says it is ready — not when the calendar says so.
Hand-rolled
At our factory in Tamboril, every cigar is hand-rolled leaf by leaf. No mechanical process replaces the roller's judgment: the hand decides the draw.
Press and format
The bunches go through the mould press, which defines the exact format — the house Connecticut is a 54 × 6½ — before receiving the final wrapper.
Ageing, nearly 2 years
After rolling, every Carlos Brugal cigar rests in the humidor for nearly two years before it's ready for sale — the time that separates a good cigar from an exceptional one.
